Hampton Gardens

Magnificent traditional residences in a premiere location:

Sited between historic Patterson Avenue and Cary Street Road in Richmond’s highly desirable Westhampton area, Hampton Gardens provides magnificent examples of fine traditional architecture, superb construction, and lush, mature landscaping. Development of Hampton Gardens began in the 1930’s, and construction continued primarily through the 1940’s. Building materials were of brick, stone and slate, and quality was the standard.

Hampton Garden’s location makes it particularly desirable to urban professionals: it is within minutes of the interstate and parkway system, and Downtown Richmond is fewer than ten minutes away via the Downtown Expressway. Boutique shopping in Carytown, the Fan and Museum Districts, and the Shops at Libbie and Grove are within minutes, and museums and educational facilities, including the Virginia Museum of Fine Art, the University of Richmond, and Virginia Commonwealth University are readily accessible.

Residents of Hampton Gardens tend to range from older people who have lived in the neighborhood for many years and value its charm, quality and convenience, to younger singles and families who also find its location in the Near West End close not only to shopping, dining, entertainment and jobs but as well to a variety of excellent educational options, both public and private, for their children.

Properties in Hampton Gardens typically range from a low in the $500’s to well upwards of $1 million. Demand for these properties has been particularly high in recent years and supplies low, and multiple offers on newly-listed properties are not uncommon.
